At Luxx Dance Competition, celebrating talent and dedication is at the core of everything we do. Our judging process is designed to be fair, transparent, and inspiring, honoring the effort and artistry of every performer.

Judging Excellence

• Expert Panel: Our judges include industry professionals, choreographers, and accomplished dancers, bringing extensive experience and insight to every evaluation.
• Constructive Feedback: Each performance receives thoughtful critique to help dancers refine their skills and grow as artists.
• Fair & Unbiased: We maintain the highest standards of impartiality, ensuring every performance is judged solely on its merit.

Each routine is evaluated by three judges on technical ability, choreography, execution, and showmanship. Judges’ decisions are final.

Special Awards:

In addition to our main categories, Luxx Dance Competition offers special awards that highlight unique qualities and moments of excellence.

Each routine will receive a gem ranking as well as the 1st place Queen or King in the category.

Luxx Dance Competition offers generous prizes, scholarships, and coveted recognition for outstanding performers. Winners not only receive awards but also gain exposure within the dance community and industry.

Whether you're a solo performer, part of a group, or a choreographer, Luxx Dance Competition is your stage to shine. Join us for a celebration of excellence, creativity, and the artistry of dance.

Luxx Dance reserves the right to group SDT contestants of close ages from differing age categories in order to provide a competitive experience as needed. Example: Oldest Beginning (9 yr old) to compete against youngest  (10 yr old) when there is no other equitable competition for the 2 contestants in their respective age/skill/genre categories.  
Luxx Dance also reserves the right to combine genres of similar qualities to provide a competitive experience, example:  Jazz/Character,  Lyrical/Ballet/ Contemporary. 

Scheduling efforts are made to separate studio classmates when SDT registration numbers deem possible.
